The Eastman Community will be giving the Norris Cotton Cancer Center a check for $17,000 from this year’s annual Eastman Benefit Golf Tournament.
“The community should be very proud of its efforts,” said Carol Moses, who has co-chaired this event for many years, along with Polly Richard and Claire Vogel.
This year’s benefit included the Classic Golf Tournament, held at Eastman Golf Links, and the Pick-A-Prize Raffle in six different prize categories:
• Cape Air tickets
• Red Sox tickets
• $100 gift certificates to Carpenter and Main, Hanover Inn, Inn at Pleasant Lake and The Old Courthouse
• Lake Morey Resort vacation package
• Home Hill Inn overnight
• Yoga classes at The Yoga Connection
“Despite the threat of bad weather, we lucked out, and the rain stopped just before tee time,” Carol said. “Chef Doug Langevin and his staff at Bistro Nouveau, as usual, did a great job with the BBQ lunch and cocktail party afterwards. A most enjoyable day was had by all.”
Carol also thanked the tournament’s prime sponsors Country Houses and Crown Point Cabinetry for their support.
