Eastman Real Estate
From Lynn Kisselbach
When I wake up on Fridays, the first thing I think of is that I’m headed to Eastman for the weekend. It definitely makes the start to the day a little more energized. For the time being, we spend weekdays in Southern New Hampshire and weekends at Eastman. It’s such an easy trip, it allows us to be there just about any time we’d like to go.
When I wake up at Eastman, I like to listen to all the birds, and enjoy the silence. I was rewarded on Saturday with the gobbling of a wild turkey, and on Sunday with a loon. Not to mention all the other
songbirds that have returned to the area. It’s one of my favorite
times of the day at Eastman: early morning when the world is silent, except for the birds.
Despite the cloudy day, I took a long walk, enjoying the smells of spring. I am still exploring the many back roads of Eastman. I like the idea of learning more about the community by exploring it on foot. I also get to meet more neighbors, and check out landscaping ideas.
As I mentioned in my last post, I am a relatively new homeowner at Eastman, but my parents lived here for about 10 years, and I visited on quite frequently. In fact, while we sadly waved goodbye to them every October, we were delighted to “housesit” for them every weekend in the winter, as we are avid cross country skiers. When our house sitting days ended, we started plotting our return.
Excuse me while I do my sun dance, hoping next weekend is a bit sunnier. I’m looking forward to casting some flies and catching some fish at the lake…
