Wednesday After-School Ski Group

Every Wednesday from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Start: Wednesday, January 3

End: early March (exact date, to be determined)

Join Recreation staff for ski lessons, tours and games. This is a great after-school program. Parents are encouraged to ski with groups; an attending adult is required for children who need assistance with managing their equipment and clothing.

Join fellow skiers and volunteer leaders for an hour +/- of recreational skiing. Two options: “Flat ‘n Easy” or Intermediate. Meet other skiers, enjoy the trails and learning about other ski opportunities at Eastman and beyond.

Adult Skate Skiing Clinics with Guest Coach, Amy Franklin

Take your cross country skate skiing skills up a notch. Designed for skiers who have tried skate skiing, up to and including citizen racing. High school and masters racers are welcome. Includes skill-specific practice as well as “real life” skate skiing on varied terrain.

Pre-register: $30/one session; $45/both sessions.

Day of registration: $35/one session; $50/both sessions.

Event will not take place without sufficient pre-registration: 863-4500.

David’s House Lazy Loop Loppet & Chili Cook-Off

Activities for everyone with the net proceeds to benefit David’s House, which serves as a home away from home for families of children receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Hourly guided & instructional tours of Lazy Loop and a challenging S’no-Obstacle course. Details for entering the Chili Cook Off or sponsoring an obstacle are available at the Cross Country Center and South Cove.

Advanced (skate) sessions PLUS learn-to-ski (traditional/classic). All ECA Members have trail passes and this is your chance to make the most of our wonderfully groomed trails. Rentals are available, so having no gear is not an excuse.

Skate Clinic: $35 for one session, $50 for both sessions

Beginner/Classic: lesson AND rental: $20, lesson only: $10

Contact the Cross Country Center to sign up, 863-4500. Pre-registration is recommended; sessions will not be offered without sufficient pre-registration.

Sip ‘n Glide
